What happens at the Service of Reconciliation?

the community gathers and is welcomed
|
|
|
we listen to the word of God,
to hear once more of God’s love for us and of his mercy and forgiveness |
|
|
we respond to God’s word by allowing the Holy Spirit to convict us of our sin and to lead us to confession
|
|
|
we go, individually, to the priest to receive the sacrament
|
|
|
together we thank God for his goodness to us,
for his forgiveness and we celebrate that love with prayer and blessing. |
