In Their Own Words

St. Gemma’s is great because…

Laura - St Gemma’s is a place every pupil can feel comfortable and a place where everyone has a friend.
Martine - St Gemma’s helps you to achieve the best you can.  We are a family within our community.  Everyone in St Gemma’s is friendly and we look out for each other.

Fiona - The school helps pupils build up confidence and tries to make you a better person with in yourself, you also learn new skills.

Nuala - St Gemma’s is a very good school there are a lot of opportunities and the teachers are very helpful.

Orla - I like St Gemma’s as it’s a really small school.  So everyone knows each other and is very comfortable around each other.  There is no one left on their own and everyone has a friend.

Shannon - St Gemma’s offers a homework centre three nights a week to children from the local area; it is a great resource for extra help.  It is a school that likes to help the area as much as possible.

Siobhan - The teachers are nice, and the pupils are nice to be around.
Anna-Marie - St Gemma’s is a very enjoyable and friendly school.  The school tries its very best to help pupils achieve their goals and dreams.  The teachers are very friendly and they encourage you to do the things you want to do in life as well as boosting your confidence.

Carla-Rosaria - I like St Gemma’s a lot, it is a friendly and rewarding school which I have enjoyed attending.  There is always help when you need it or if you are stuck on something, you know that the teacher will listen to you. I think this is really important.

Marion - St Gemma’s is a nice place to be.  All the teachers and pupils are really friendly.

Shauna - Everyone including the teachers are very kind and helpful.

Clodagh - In St. Gemma’s everyone is helpful and it gives people a chance to meet new friends.

Miss McAleer - The whole school gets behind local events that are going on in the community.
Carrie - As a local girl in the community I believe St Gemma’s is a great place to be with small, but warm corridors and the certainty of a friendly face or smile when you turn the corner.  Having local teachers and some who attended our school makes me as a pupil believe I can do anything.

Sinéad - St Gemma’s is a place where the pupils have each others back, they always are there for each other and help each other through everything.  St Gemma’s is like a second home to its pupils, as a lot of us spend most of our time there.

Tara - In St Gemma’s the teachers are always there to help you.  I think that because it is a small school everyone knows each other.

Michelle - St Gemma’s encourage all pupils to have good character.  Everyone knows everyone and all the teachers are friendly.
